Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join our small indie studio from early 2025 until summer 2025. If you love video games, especially with the focus on house building, exploring, and anything witchcraft, this is the perfect opportunity for you! As a reliable team player, you will be responsible for identifying bugs, ensuring game quality, and collaborating with our development team to enhance the player experience. Join us in creating unforgettable gaming adventures!

Responsibilities

  • Search for and identify bugs in the game
  • Write detailed issue-reports using tools like Asana
  • Prioritise issues based on their impact on the project
  • Try to reproduce identified bugs to gain more insight about them
  • Stay on top of issues, track their progress and confirm fixes once the dev team has worked on them
  • Filter community submitted tickets with our team and turn them into actionable issue-reports
  • Test newly developed features for stability, guidance and general quality​
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout the entire process by being structured and attentive

  • Communicate effectively with the team to ensure a smooth workflow.

Requirements

  • Ability to play the same parts of the game again and again with patience and attentiveness

  • Passionate about video games

  • Analytical, inquisitive, and skilled at identifying problems

  • Organized with great attention to detail

  • Proactive team player with strong communication skills

  • Fluent in English and German
     

  • ​Bonus requirements:

    • Studying Game Design or prior experience working in the industry

    • Familiarity with REKA or an interest in witchcraft/Slavic folklore

    • Familiarity with Unity3D (even rudimentary knowledge is good)

    • Knowledge of (game-) programming

    • Fondness for trying to break things in video games

    • Knowledge of French, Spanish, Polish, Russian, or Ukrainian

Additional Information

  • You will be working primarily from our Berlin studio (Remote work will be possible for a few days each month)

  • Flexible working hours - start your workday anytime between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM
     

  • Thank you for your patience. You can expect to hear back from us at the beginning of January. Our studio will be on Christmas break, so there's no need to worry if you haven't received any updates by the end of December. :)
